The Snyder Scriptorium is a growing home for books, writing, curiosity, and the stories that bring people together. The Snyder scriptorium is something that has spawned from a long series of events. Writing wasn't really a first plan for me. It was something that was on my bucket list to eventually write a book, but never really a hug plan. Through my adulthood I had worked over a decade in the hospitality industry growing a passion for creating an experience for others. I was one of those that found a passion in hospitality. Over time as I got older, the industry came to a point I either needed to move up or find something else for a while. I tried starting my own food stand but with local laws and ordinances it became more costly than the return in investment would offer unless I went bigger than I could afford. Starting a restaurant from the bottom was looking like a no go. I went through a series more of events and landed myself in partnering with my husband on a construction company and becoming a general contractor with my husband. I love the work, but I still needed something that was my project. Through another series of events, I remembered my bucket list and started trying to find something new within it. I started to try out writing. It quickly grew into a hobby and the slowly morphed into a passion filled with goals that combined itself with my hospitality dreams. I now am working on building up on the blog that i started and the books that I am working towards writing. I am using this website as the starting grounds to bring forth an online bookstore. From there I am going to use the money that I earn to invest in towards building the final end goal of the Snyder Scriptorium. The final ending will be a hospitality oasis that will be a surprise.
